Birx is a longtime professional medic dedicated to helping me and you and who most likely has zero interest in politics or the stupid games that come with it. But let the Left tell it and because Birx hasn't quit the task force or openly screamed at Trump during the press briefings, she's an evil person hellbent or kissing the President's ass so she can become the next Surgeon General or something. Glad she scolded Tapper here and Jake's defense which basically can be surmised as 'We don't hate Trump and we never, ever, ever chase after shiny objects' is laughable at best.

Bill Weir Touts Killer Corona 'Buying Some Time' on Global Warming

The actual first cause and patient zero of coronavirus may be unknown, but CNN climate correspondent Bill Weir on Thursday's New Day had another hypothesis: climate denialism and industrialization. The cable journalist went even farther, offering an upside to the brutal and painful virus wreaking havoc on the world. 

While some on the left have touted the environmental benefits of economic shutdowns, Weir was worried they would not be enough, "satellite imagery shows how nitrogen dioxide pollution over North America's big cities is down by as much as 30%. But the blanket of heat trapping gases around our planet is still thicker than ever. There seems to be this perception that maybe the virus has helped humanity buy some time when it comes to global warming." 

It “helped” humanity and “bought” us some time? Over 180,000 people are dead worldwide and the economy is in ruins. Talk about mixed up priorities. 

He then asked Dr. Jonathan Foley of Project Drawdown, "What's wrong with that assumption?" Foley explained that, "We have to keep doing this even more and do it for the next 30 years to really begin to bend the curve on the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere." 

Weir then logically predicted that will be a spike in pollution when the economy gets going again after an extended shutdown, but strangely decided to blame President Trump, "Thanks to the current oil crash, when the lockdown is lifted we'll see the lowest gas prices in generations. And with Donald Trump's Environmental Protection Agency gutting dozens of regulations, experts say a spike in pollution seems inevitable."

Jim Sciutto Deceptively Edits Trump to Proclaim Trump's 'Warming Up' to Putin in Pandemic

Former Obama bureaucrat and current CNN anchor Jim Sciutto was scuttling back to his Russiagate conspiracy-theorizing on Monday. It took deceptively editing some of Trump's press conferences to make the case Trump and Putin are back to being pals, and so the 2020 election is again in danger of being mangled by the Russians.

In a story he reported himself on CNN Newsroom, Sciutto declared "President Trump, you may have missed this, has been warming up of late to his old friend Russia's President Vladimir Putin. The two leaders have made a record number of phone calls to each other recently and some of the president's own former advisers say Putin may be using the coronavirus pandemic to realize his long-held goal of edging closer to Trump."

The video began with Trump at his April 14 press conference saying, "With tremendous credit going to Russia" and Sciutto adding, "A historic oil deal to try stabilize prices in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic."

The full context of Trump's quote was the Saudi-Russia oil price war that by most accounts, Russia lost, "It finished with a tremendous credit going to Russia and to Saudi Arabia, and it could be as much as 20 million barrels a day a cut so that we can get rid of some of the tremendous excess oil that’s been produced because of the fact that the virus just knocked out almost 50% of the business."

But, Sciutto was not finished with selectively editing Trump. He next played Trump on April 13, "I want to thank President Putin of Russia."

The full context again was not only included the Saudis, but also Mexico which had its own oil dispute with Saudi Arabia, "I want to thank Saudi Arabia and the king of Saudi Arabia, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, both. I want to thank President Putin of Russia. And I want to thank a very good friend of mine, man who’s become a friend of mine, the president of Mexico showed great flexibility. President Lopez Obrador."

CNN Segment Shows Chris Cuomo Emerging from ‘Weeks’ in Isolation Just Days after He Feuded with Biker In Hamptons

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Monday night announced that he has emerged from his basement, where he has been quarantining after testing positive for coronavirus three weeks ago.

CNN published a segment featuring Cuomo’s reunion with his family, which occurred just a week after a public kerfuffle with a biker in the Hamptons, who confronted him about his failure to social distance.

Cuomo, 49, announced on March 31 that he had tested positive for the virus and was remaining isolated from his family in his basement, where he continued to host his CNN show and share updates with his viewers about his symptoms, which included hallucinations, sweating, headaches, and a fever that was so severe that his shivering caused him to chip a tooth. He said Monday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has cleared him to end his quarantine period.

“Alright, here it is: The official re-entry from the basement,” he said in a video posted to CNN’s website and his Instagram account. “This is what I’ve been dreaming of, literally, for weeks.”

What a prick. He got in an altercation with a cyclist a couple of weeks ago who called him out for violating his quarantine and now Cuomo's on CNN talking about "riding out" his Coronavirus in "his basement" for the "last several weeks". SMH.

STUDY: CNN Airs Least of Coronavirus Briefings, Network Skips 7 Hours Over Past Two Weeks

CNN and MSNBC on many days repeatedly cut in and out of the daily White House briefings on the coronavirus pandemic, with CNN the most eager to replace remarks from President Trump, Vice President Pence or any number of medical and logistical experts with derisive commentary by its anchors and reporters. MSNBC carried a little more than CNN, but its anchors also weren’t hesitant to chime in with their condemnations of Trump’s remarks.

A Media Research Center study found that CNN has carried just 69 percent of the briefings’ runtime of those conducted March 30 through April 14. That’s 999 of 1,435 minutes, leaving seven hours and 16 minutes unaired. MSNBC has aired live 1,088 minutes, or 76 percent, not running five hours and forty-seven minutes. Thus, CNN and MSNBC viewers missed more than 13 hours of the briefings. (FNC cut out a few minutes early on two days, but otherwise has carried all the briefings in full, airing 1,383 minutes, about 96 percent of the total duration.)

For six of the 14 briefings over the time period, CNN ignored Trump’s opening remarks, joining the briefing only after he had finished. Wolf Blitzer announced on April 6: “Once the experts start speaking, once the questions and answers begin, we’ll go back to that briefing.”

A week later, CNN’s John King offered this justification for ceasing the live coverage: “The briefing was breathtaking from beginning to when we dropped out and at times it bordered on dangerous.” The next day, an angry Jim Acosta declared “these briefings altogether are coming across like something out of ‘Baghdad Bob,’” with Trump “sounding very ‘Baghdad Bob’-like.”

CNN Changes Headline About Democrats Blocking Coronavirus Aid For Small Businesses To Divert Blame

The media are at it again, changing accurate headlines that make Democrats look bad to something that either negates or softens the blame – a move that is never taken when these same outlets blame Republicans for bills not passing. 

The latest example comes from CNN, which posted an article earlier Thursday with the headline, “Democrats block a GOP-led funding boost for small business aid program.” Less than an hour later, the headline was changed to read: “Senate at stalemate over more COVID-19 aid after Republicans and Democrats block competing proposals.” 

Now Republicans are listed first as the party to blame. The actual article isn’t much better. It admits up front that Republicans wanted a clean funding bill while Democrats wanted to include other provisions, but it waits until the eighth paragraph to actually explain what those provisions were. 

“But Senate Democrats — who unanimously backed the program when it passed last month — argue any legislation to increase funding for Small Business Administration loans must include other provisions as well, including money for hospitals on the frontlines of combating coronavirus and $150 billion in funding for states and local governments. Democrats have also asked that half of the money for SBA — $125 billion — be steered to community lenders to ensure underserved communities are getting loans,” CNN finally reported.

Gee, it's like CNN works for the DNC and wants Democrats to succeed or something.
