Ghoulish CNN Exploits Herman Cain's Death to Attack President Trump

On Friday morning’s New Day, CNN co-host Alisyn Camerota and guest host Jim Sciutto brought on New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman to take ghoulish shots at President Trump over the death of former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain due to coronavirus. Proving that nothing is sacred to the partisan hacks at CNN, Camerota nastily asked if there is “any feeling inside the White House of responsibility, of guilt, of connection” to the death, since Cain attended Trump’s Tulsa rally last month. 

Camerota began the nauseating discussion by trying to blame Trump for Cain’s death:

On Friday’s New Day, CNN co-host Alisyn Camerota and fill-in Jim Sciutto brought on the host of United Shades of America, W. Kamau Bell to spout woke talking points. Bell went on a tear against white people, insisting that “white supremacy is a system that promotes whiteness.” He also claimed that the Black Panthers and Black Lives Matter are “mainstream” groups and praised Democratic politicians such as Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for working “against the interests of white folks.” Per typical CNN, Scuitto and Bell began by bashing President Trump:

CNN’s Poppy Harlow and Jim Sciutto on Monday engaged in a wide-ranging interview with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), but failed to ask him about the controversy over coronavirus-related deaths in his state’s nursing homes. 

The duo began the nine-minute interview — which also included questions about police reform and vote-by-mail efforts – by asking about the state’s reopening process. Cuomo used the opportunity to tout improvement in numbers related to the coronavirus in New York, saying he was a “slave to the science.” 

“We did 57,000 tests just yesterday,” Cuomo added. “Highest number of tests in the United States, and we had less than 1 percent transmission rate yesterday. We went from the highest transmission rate in the United States to the lowest transmission rate. We only had 10 deaths overnight. That’s the lowest number since this started. We have about 1,000 people in our hospitals, lowest number since this started, so we watch those numbers every day.” 

Cuomo has faced criticism for a March 25 New York Health Department directive that sent more than 4,500 recovering coronavirus patients to state nursing homes. The department scrapped the directive in April — but not in time to stave off higher-than-average infection rates in those nursing homes.

Jim Sciutto Deceptively Edits Trump to Proclaim Trump's 'Warming Up' to Putin in Pandemic

Former Obama bureaucrat and current CNN anchor Jim Sciutto was scuttling back to his Russiagate conspiracy-theorizing on Monday. It took deceptively editing some of Trump's press conferences to make the case Trump and Putin are back to being pals, and so the 2020 election is again in danger of being mangled by the Russians.

In a story he reported himself on CNN Newsroom, Sciutto declared "President Trump, you may have missed this, has been warming up of late to his old friend Russia's President Vladimir Putin. The two leaders have made a record number of phone calls to each other recently and some of the president's own former advisers say Putin may be using the coronavirus pandemic to realize his long-held goal of edging closer to Trump."

The video began with Trump at his April 14 press conference saying, "With tremendous credit going to Russia" and Sciutto adding, "A historic oil deal to try stabilize prices in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic."

The full context of Trump's quote was the Saudi-Russia oil price war that by most accounts, Russia lost, "It finished with a tremendous credit going to Russia and to Saudi Arabia, and it could be as much as 20 million barrels a day a cut so that we can get rid of some of the tremendous excess oil that’s been produced because of the fact that the virus just knocked out almost 50% of the business."

But, Sciutto was not finished with selectively editing Trump. He next played Trump on April 13, "I want to thank President Putin of Russia."

The full context again was not only included the Saudis, but also Mexico which had its own oil dispute with Saudi Arabia, "I want to thank Saudi Arabia and the king of Saudi Arabia, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, both. I want to thank President Putin of Russia. And I want to thank a very good friend of mine, man who’s become a friend of mine, the president of Mexico showed great flexibility. President Lopez Obrador."
